Workplace harassment and bullying is a serious hazard that can cause enormous suffering to the victim and loss to the organization. Workers are entitled to protection from their employer under both occupational health and safety and human rights legislation. Workers may be entitled to compensation if they suffer mental illness as a result of workplace harassment or bullying (under workers, compensation, health benefits or tort law).
