Karen is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience in the health care and not for profit sector, as both a healthcare professional and leader. Karen's background and experience include progressive leadership roles in corporate services management and providing strategic direction to organizational effectiveness, health and wellness.
Understanding the impacts that all aspects of an organization ultimately have on its ability to be successful, Karen’s passion is to create cultures of excellence through a strategic focus on exemplary healthy workplace practices, including mental health. Karen's specialties include change leadership, employee engagement, performance management, leadership development, organizational development and support services management.
Karen is a lead Verifier for organizational assessments and an active member on the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Civic Action Champions Council for Mental Health in the workplace. She has an undergraduate science degree from the University of British Columbia and Masters in Leadership from the University of Guelph.

Liz is the Founder and President of Hale Health and Safety Solutions. She is a Psychological Health and Safety Consultant who brings over 20 years of experience in occupational health and safety and workplace mental health combined with experience in disability and claims management. She is known for navigating complex and controversial issues in health and safety, making them easier to understand and helping clients see a clear path forward. Liz has worked with all levels of leadership throughout her career, helping them to significantly reduce their incidents and claims costs, while improving their business results.
Liz was Project Manager for the creation of the National Standard of Canada on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace and is a sought-after speaker and trainer on psychological health and safety and leadership. Read full bio
